TIN Data

Modeling a watershed with a TIN instead of a DEM has several fundamental advantages.  Since TIN data is not readily available in the same way  DEM might be downloaded from the internet, only an overview is provided here.  Rather, a TIN is created in one of several ways within WMS.  Survey data, a digitized map, or a DEM all can serve as a background elevation source when creating a TIN.  See the WMS tutorials for more information on creating and using TINs.
